RISK SCORING

LEARN YOUR SCORE

Risk tolerance is the psychological aspect of investing which indicates your level of comfort with respect to risk and return.

Our online questionnaire provides a starting point to see where you fall in the risk spectrum. Every investor is different and there are no wrong answers. To fill out the questionnaire, click the button below and get your score.

As illustrated above, your results will show up as an overall score. Generally, the pursuit of higher returns means more risk. Higher risk can include greater price fluctuations (i.e. volatility) and/or increased risk to your investment capital. In simple terms, there is essentially zero risk of getting your money back investing in a U.S. Treasury bond, but there is a comparatively low return when compared to equities.

Risk vs Reward

Over the long-term, higher returns from a greater allocation to equities can lead to greater risk, or price volatility. A risk score can help determine an individual’s level comfort with risk relative to reward.
